I spent 15-25 minutes with a recruiter. She didn't talk "at" me but, instead, asked thoughtful questions and listened to me. Finally, here was someone who brought respect and dignity to the process of finding a job. I felt that she really understood me, understood why I had left my previous job, what I wanted out of my next job, and how that worked into my work/life balance. I found her to be compassionate and kind, the complete antithesis of the 4 large agencies I had also signed up with. Within 2 weeks . . . I had 3 really great interviews . . . and within a few days I had 3 job offers.
